I can see you lying next to me
In a field of grass and summertime flowers
A hand on my chest softly placed
Gentle smile,
Sparkling eyes so bright and shining
Laying dressed in sunshine,
Soft body bathed in summer sun.
A breeze eases around us
Gently caressing our bodies.
Close together I turn to you
Hold a kiss to your lips
And breathe you in to fill my heart
As the warm summer air fills my lungs.
I wonder off in a state of joy
And you hold me there in your arms
Warm like the sun.
I cling to your body
And float in the comfort of your love
Like an ocean that is calm.
In your arms I feel the world fade away
And cling like a child
As do all men afraid of losing love.
I can see you lying next to me
Wondering if you feel what I feel.
